Our Roots
Local business is part of our DNA. As a kid, Ben helped his mother measure homes for his parents’ architectural practice. Maya spent summers packing boxes at her family’s balloon printing warehouse. In high school, we each started our own local business: Ben catered events in his community and Maya sold handmade jewelry in her cafeteria. Localwise is inspired by our local business roots.
Our Beliefs
We love the creativity and passion that local businesses bring to a community. They sell the best food, coffee, clothes, gifts, and pretty much anything else we can think of. They are also the backbone of our local economy—providing the jobs and resources that enrich the areas in which we live, work, and play.
Our Mission
We created Localwise to empower local businesses to help each other. Localwise is a community of shared knowledge built on the premise that if each local business provides a small amount of information, it will receive a vast amount of knowledge in return. It’s a simple formula that highlights the power of collaboration. We believe that power will strengthen not only the performance of local businesses, but also the fabric of local communities.
